D&L offers all types of eye
protection for Lampworkers & Beadmakers. It is essential to protect
your eyes from the sodium flare and infra-red radiation that can occur
while working glass with a torch. Suggested protection for hard glass (borosilicate/ 33 coe) is a Didymium base coated with a
green filter for further ultra violet and infra-red protection; this
combination is the Boroscope lens. The green filter boroscope is
available in both #3 (light to medium darkness) and #5 (medium to dark)
for larger borosilicate work.
Suggested protection for soft glass (90-104 coes) is a Didymium or ACE lens; this provides protection from sodium flare.
