Items labeled in this manner are sold by weight at a price per pound. The price you see is the pound price. You will be charged for the actual weight of the product you receive. If you wish to order a specific number of rods, tubes, sticks or the like, enter that information in the comment box upon checkout. We will do our best to accommodate you knowing how many pounds you want (from the shopping cart) along with how many tubes/items you want from the comment box.

Half Blood

Half Blood is a half strength version of the much loved self striking Dragon's Blood. This color has been designed to strike back to a rich ruby red in the flame.

Working Tip: This color will strike back as it cools. Half Blood will strike to a deeper red in the flame or kiln.

"The half strength equivalent to GA Dragon’s Blood, this is an essential for my color palette. I have always been a fan of deep copper rubies and when GA Half Blood emerged I was excited to have a beautiful striking copper ruby that was more prone to staying vibrant and transparent than going dark or toward liver when worked for a long time. I have been able to get an array of finishes from different combinations of color layer thickness and kiln time and temperature. Half Blood works well in all hollow and solid applications and under deep encasement. So far my favorite combinations with GA Half Blood are when it is paired with either GA Paparazzi or GA Agua Mist." - Mike Shelbo

Glass Alchemy Boromax Colored Rods & Frit

Glass Alchemy Boromax colored rods are 7 mm diameter and 20" long unless otherwise stated. Some rods are listed as 4 mm diameter. The COE is 33 and Boromax may be combined with Simax and any other glass with a similar coefficient of thermal expansion. Glass Alchemy uses the ROY G BIV spectrum sequence to number its colors. R = red = 100 series. O = Orange = 200 series, etc. Glass Alchemy Boromax Colored Rods are sold by the pound with a 1/4 pound minimum purchase per color.

Glass Alchemy Boromax frits are also available. We stock Boromax Frit in four sizes (also called grades):

All Boromax frit comes in a 4 oz. or 16 oz. jar.
