Items labeled in this manner are sold by weight at a price per pound. The price you see is the pound price. You will be charged for the actual weight of the product you receive. If you wish to order a specific number of rods, tubes, sticks or the like, enter that information in the comment box upon checkout. We will do our best to accommodate you knowing how many pounds you want (from the shopping cart) along with how many tubes/items you want from the comment box.

Moretti (Soft) Rods

Moretti/ Effetre rods are sold by weight. Individual rod lengths will vary from approximately 13" to 20" in length. Rod diameter will range typically from 5-7 mm. 

Moretti rods are soft, long-working glass used for beadmaking. Also called Effetre glass, Moretti is popular for its wide range of available colors. With a 104 coe, Moretti is easily molded or shaped when heated.

Average temperature range (for the correct glass viscosity for working):

• Starting temperature: 1706 degrees F (930 C)
• End-of-process temp: 1202 degrees F (650 C)
• Annealing temperature: 968 degrees F (520 C)
