Pound and 1/4 Pound Minimum Items

Items labeled in this manner are sold by weight at a price per pound. The price you see is the pound price. You will be charged for the actual weight of the product you receive. If you wish to order a specific number of rods, tubes, sticks or the like, enter that information in the comment box upon checkout. We will do our best to accommodate you knowing how many pounds you want (from the shopping cart) along with how many tubes/items you want from the comment box.

Yellow

Yellow is an eye catching striking transparent yellow. It can be struck in a kiln or in the flame. This is another good forgiving striking color for those starting out. If it is worked in an oxidizing environment, Yellow will yield a transparent golden yellow. If worked in a neutral to slightly reducing flame Yellow will start to darken and turn a semi opaque amber color. Because the strike can be easily controlled, Yellow can be used for sculpture, beads, and blown work without washing out or overpowering the work. Try layering Yellow over Ruby for a vibrant fuchsia color, and be sure to try it over Blue Exotic.

Northstar Borocolor Tubes

Each Northstar tube is hand pulled, resulting in different widths for each one, and an overall tube length of approximately 20". Diameters will vary between 22mm and 38mm. Ends may be tapered due to the hand pulling process. Order by the pound; weights vary between 1/2 lb. and 3/4 lb. per tube.
