Fluted Drop-Thru Mold Bundle

Create a dramatic footed vase using this 3-piece mold kit that seamlessly aligns the drop to the center of a wine glass style foot. This innovative and creative drop-thru mold system enables fusers to create a delicate vase shape that strongly resembles vessels made with traditional glass blowing techniques. The mold system consists of three separate ceramic parts: the foot casting mold, the fluted drop-thru ring, and the tripod base. The assembled kit measures 7-3/4 in. wide with a height of 4-3/4 in. and can be used in most medium-sized kilns with a firing chamber that is at least 10 in. in diameter and 5-1/2 in. high. 

An added bonus of this system is that the drop-thru ring is height-adjustable. With the different positions, artists are able to decide between three sizes of finished vases. The highest position will create a vase that stands 4-5/8 in. high, the middle will create a vase that stands 4-1/8 in. high, and the lowest position will create a vase that stands 3-1/2 in. high. 
The complete Fluted Drop-Thru Mold Bundle contains: 1 tripod base, 1 foot casting mold, 1 fluted drop-thru ring, and an instructional booklet.
