Additional Information

High quality core drill bits by DiamondSure. Fit standard drill chucks; for materials such as glass, porcelain tile, ceramic tile, stone, or ceramics.

Drilling glass is easy if you keep the following in mind:

  1. Use constant water lubrication (use a pan or a clay dam).
  2. Keep drill RPM low. Approximately 375 RPM is recommended for 1 1/2” hole in glass.
  3. Use minimal pressure. Allow the bit to do the work and back off frequently to allow plenty of lubrication.
  4. The bit should never get more than warm to the touch. If it’s hot, that means you’re using too much pressure, too high an RPM or the lubrication is inadequate.
  5. Start drilling at an angle and slowly move to vertical drilling as the bit starts to cut to prevent the bit from slipping off center.
  6. Wear safety glasses.
